Amazon Launches 15-Minute Delivery Service in UAE
Amazon has introduced a rapid delivery service in the United Arab Emirates, dubbed Amazon Now, promising groceries, electronics, and household essentials in 15 minutes or less. The service operates around the clock, leveraging micro-fulfillment centers strategically placed within neighborhoods to meet localized demand. Prime members enjoy free delivery on orders exceeding $6, while smaller purchases incur a nominal fee.
The initiative marks another step in Amazon's relentless push to dominate logistics, building on earlier launches in Indian cities like Bangalore and New Delhi. The company's evolving supply chain capabilities now enable same-day and even drone-assisted deliveries in select U.S. and European markets, far surpassing its original two-day delivery benchmark.
